Kathleen Godfrey
Dr. Kathleen Godfrey (Ph.D., Arizona State University, 1998) is associate professor and co-director of the San Joaquin Valley Writing Project. Her teaching interests include secondary English teaching methods, autoethnography, southwestern American literature, 20th century American literature, and contemporary young adult fiction.
Dr. Godfrey has recently finished an introduction to a book on vocabulary instruction, and she has also published articles and book reviews in Western American Literature, Southwestern American Literature, Texas Review, and Studies in American Indian Literature. She has made numerous presentations at local schools and national/international conferences on various aspects of literacy, multiethnic literature, and women's writing.
