We invite alumni and friends to join us for the Enology Society's Bud Break Bash on Friday, March 27 at Engelmann Cellars in Fresno. This annual fundraiser will include dinner, music, and fun! 18 and over welcome to attend. Must be 21 with ID to consumer alcohol. Doors open at 6 pm. The Papa Petrucci 5K Run, Walk, or Stroll will be held in the Fresno State Vineyards on Saturday morning, March 28. Presented by the Department of Viticulture and Enology and Viticulture Club, this special anniversary event is a family-fun event and fundraiser to support educational trips to visit the grape and wine industry in various grape growing regions. The 5K recognizes the late and former professor and program leader, Dr. Vincent E. Petrucci. Pre-register online by March 10 here. $35 General Admission; Students with ID $25.
Two Vineyard Mechanization Workshops will be held in the Fresno State vineyards on April 2 and April 30 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Free to grape growers, students, and interested students, these workshops will include cultivation (April 2) and spraying (April 30) equipment demonstrations. RSVP for April 2. RSVP for April 30.

Representation at Professional Meetings
The Fresno State viticulture and enology team was well represented at the Unified Wine & Grape Symposium in Sacramento at Cal Expo on February 4-6, 2020. During the sessions, Drs. Luca Brillante and Stephan Sommer gave presentations while faculty and staff networked with alumni and industry friends during the exhibits at booth A534. Thanks to everyone who attended our Annual Viticulture & Enology Alumni & Friends Reunion at the Hyatt Regency in Sacramento on February 5. This reunion is proudly co-sponsored by the Viticulture & Enology Alumni.
We are pleased to announce that several faculty, staff, and graduate students represented Fresno State's viticulture and enology program at the American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) 2019 Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Presentations included:

Fresno State alum and 2018 Viticulture and Enology Outstanding Undergraduate Student Achiever Kathleen Amaral, who is currently attending the University of Georgia, gave a presentation during the 2019 ASHS Conference Viticulture and Small Fruits Session, moderated by Fresno State viticulture and enology graduate student, Jeremiah Loyd.
In June 2019, our Fresno State viticulture and enology program was well represented at the American Society for Enology and Viticulture National Conference held in Napa. Several of our faculty, staff, and students gave oral and poster presentations and one of our Jordan College of Ag honors student, Matteo Ramagli, received an ASEV scholarship. We are proud of everyone who participated and represented Fresno State at this professional conference.
