Academic Accomodations
Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) provides a wide range of academic accommodations to students with verified disabilities who have registered with the SSD office. Services for each student are determined on a case-by-case basis. The following are examples of some of the accommodations that may be provided.

Adaptive Technology
- Screen and Text Readers (JAWS, Kurzweil 3000, Aladdin Ambassador)
- Screen Magnification Software (ZoomText)

- Voice Recognition Software (Dragon Naturally Speaking)
- Refreshable Braille Display (Power Braille)
- Braille Embosser with Duxbury Translation Software

- Kurzweil 3000 for students with Learning Disabilities
Adaptive Computer Lab
Available only to students registered with the SSD office, the lab has personal computers equipped with a variety of adaptive software. The computers are connected to the Internet and have popular software packages, such as Microsoft Office, MathCad and SPSS. A technician is available during lab hours to provide technical assistance with equipment or software in the lab.

- Our Student Campus Community Transportation Service vehicle (SCOUT) helps students from class to class. Students who qualify for this service set up a regular schedule according to their needs.
